Banality -- Disbelief; the antithesis of Glamour. Boggan -- A type of Kithain, typically short, round, and domestic. They tend to value harmony and social virtues. Bibsworth is a Boggan. changeling -- A person with a mortal body and faery soul. Changeling: The Dreaming -- A role-playing game released by White Wolf Publishing in their World of Darkness. chimera -- A creature or thing of dreams, typically fantastic, bodiless and usually visible only to Kithain and the Enchanted. Dauntain -- A person, usually a Kithain, who acts deliberately to promote Banality and destroy Glamour. Dreaming, the -- A general term for the reality created by the Dreams, Legends, and Fantasies of humans. Glamour -- The raw stuff of the Dreaming, Glamour is born in imagination and is the wellspring of Magic. Kinain -- A mortal who does not have a faery soul, but is related by blood to the Fae. Connor is a Kinain. Kithain -- See 'changeling'. Pooka -- A type of Kithain, marked with animal features and a trickster's nature. Pooka, except perhaps in the most serious of situations, always lie. Astrid is a Pooka. Redcap -- A type of Kithain, marked by their ravenous appetites, affinity for violence, and thuglike reputations. Sidhe -- A type of Kithain, marked by beauty and dignity. the overwhelming majority of the nobility are Sidhe, and even untitled Sidhe generally view themselves as elevated. Leod, Leowyth, the other Geoners, and Chancellor Ser'han are all Sidhe. voile -- Chimerical faery clothing. Wyrd, the -- The capacity of a Kithain to briefly make their faery aspect, chimerical possessions, and magic fully real, able to interact with the mundane world. |
